The Packers offense finished up ranking, 10^th in points scored, 9^th in overall yards, 5^th in pass yards, and 24^th in rush yards. Aaron Rodgers stepped up big time this year despite not having a reliable ground game and one of his best targets Jermichael Finley getting injured very early in the season. Also injured early in the season was their top back Ryan Grant. Over the playoffs however Grant's replacement seems to have finally arrived in form of rookie James Starks.

The Steelers offense is led by Big Ben Roethlisberger who has a chance to become one of the winningest Quarterbacks in the history of the game; he will get his third ring with a win tomorrow. Their offense was ranked, 12^th in points for, 14^th in overall yards for, 14^th in pass yards for, and 11^th in rush yards for. That's a pretty good rank for a team that is not known for their offense. A big part of that was the stellar play of rookie centre Maurkice Pouncey, who is out for this game.

The Packers defense finished up the year at a very impressive rankings clip of, 2^nd in points against, 5^th in overall yards against, 5^th in pass yards against, and 18^th in rush yards against. Clay Matthews their star linebacker out of the rush position in their 3-4 defense had a beastly year finishing up with, 13.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and a pick. Another player who has stepped up their game is Tramon Williams; he has been absolutely lights out during the playoffs.

The Steelers defense ended the year ranked, 1^st in points against, 2^nd in yards against, 12^th in pass yards against, and 1^st in rush yards against. Their anchor on defense is the NFL's defensive player of the year Troy Polamalu. Out with injury for the Steelers is star lineman Aaron Smith who has been out for most of the season and who had hoped to play for the Superbowl.

Expert Betting Pick: Defense wins championships, that is why the 2 best defenses are here playing for the Superbowl. I believe Green Bay has the edge in this matchup since the Steelers weakness on defense is through the air. Green Bay will win and cover.
