Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) Kansas City Chiefs

After a whirlwind day of playoffs that saw the defending champion Saints lose to the 7-9 (now 8-9) Seahawks and a last second field goal decide the other game; the Ravens will face off against the Chiefs on the 2^nd day of the wild card weekend. The Ravens are favoured in this game even though it takes place in Arrowhead stadium; one of the toughest places to play in the NFL.

The Ravens offense led by third year QB Joe Flacco finished a very mediocre 16^th in points scored, 22^nd in overall yards, 20^th in pass yards, and 14^th in rush yards. It's fairly safe to say that this game will be full of smashmouth football, and the team that runs the best will likely win. Anquan Boldin, the Ravens big offseason acquisition will be expected to make some big plays in this game.

The Chiefs finished the season ranked, 14^th in points, 12^th in overall yards, 30^th in pass yards, and 1^st overall in rushing yards. A big part of that rushing success is due to the great 2 back system they've ran all season, the lightning quick Jamaal Charles and rough and tumble Thomas Jones. QB Matt Cassell had a fantastic season along with WR Dwayne Bowe who finally had his breakout year.

The Ravens defense had a great year ending up ranked, 3^rd in points allowed, 10^th in overall yards allowed, 5^th in rushing yards allowed, and 21^st in pass yards allowed. It will be interesting to see how the 5^th ranked rush defense fares against the 1^st ranked rush offense.

The Chiefs defense finished up the season ranked, 11^th in points allowed, 14^th in overall yards allowed, 17^th in pass yards allowed, and 14^th in rush yards allowed.  Young Cornerback Brandon Flowers has blossomed into one of the best in the league.

My Pick (TheATM): The Ravens have more talent and more playoff experience, and should win a hard fought game by a touchdown.
