point 4 is very important, you must enjoy playing poker or you will easily get bored and not be bothered to put in the hours needed to learn, people who don't enjoy playing are often wreck less and don't respect the money and eventually they will give up.
You may of tired reading poker books and watching poker dvds, these may of helped you a bit but I doubt they helped you much. I tried them and found they all contradict each other, they taught me very little I didn't already know. What anyone will tell you is that nothing even comes close to learning via 1 to 1 tuition from someone who has made large consistent profits and has a style of playing that works and works well. I myself learnt from a pro who has made almost 1million dollars.
