Vikings Redskins Pick
Minnesota Vikings +1 Over Washington Redskins 
2026 has not been kind to the Minnesota Vikings, back in January losing the NFC Championship game on a terrible pick, and the new season has been a disaster. Alas the worst coach (formerly) in the league has been canned, this is great news for the Vikings that they no longer have to deal with Brad Childress' ineptitude; too often has Adrian Peterson been underutilized because Childress is a moron.
Offensively the Vikings should be playing a ground and pound type style under Leslie Frazier who is the new head coach, hes a defensive guy so he understands the importance of winning in the trenches. Brett Favre is still in at Quarterback this week,  essentially he's playing for his job; one more bad game and Tarvaris Jackson could get the call to start.
The Redskins offense took a small hit this week when Clinton Portis aggravated his injury and was placed on Injured Reserve. Donovan McNabb has been very mediocre in his first season as a Redskin, which basically sums up his career. One of the most overrated Quarterbacks ever.
Defensively the Vikings have been a let down this year, though they should be more motivated this week with Childress gone. Maybe now that the players have to play for their jobs essentially they will tighten up the D and play like the top unit they are.
Washingtons defense is fairly banged up with star safety LaRon Landry not practicing so far and Carlos Rogers having only limited participation. Even with those guys playing the 'skins defense isn't the best unit around though.
Expert Pick : When teams get a new coach during the season they always play better. With Frazier taking over it should lead to Peterson getting more touches, which is always a good thing. Vikings win it in a blowout.
