Ravens Texans Pick
Baltimore Ravens (-3) Over Houston Texans
Last week against the Steelers Baltimore lost a nailbiter that they should have won. This week they travel to Houston to try to right the ship against the Texans. The Texans meanwhile are having a bad season, failing to live up to the expectations many expert analysts had for them of reaching a wild card berth.
The Ravens Offense has been very mediocre this year despite the addition of Anquan Boldin in the offseason. Also disappointing this year has been Ray Rice, who after a breakout season last year has scored only 3 touchdowns this year.
The Texans offense has been somewhat of a relevation this year, it was expected to be good but I don't think anybody thought they'd be the 7th ranked rushing attack this late in the season. A big part of the rushing rennasaince for the Texans has been the play of Arian "Not a Nazi" Foster who has come from nowhere to be the leagues leading rusher.
The Ravens defense has been great so far this season, holding opponents to 16.8 points a game, a mark that is good for 3rd overall in the league. Their secondary that started the season banged up and with questionable talent has played very solid thus far holding the 12th overall rank for pass yards against.
The Texans defense this year has been nothing short of terrible they are ranked 29th in points against and 31st in yards against, it's safe to say the defense is the reason they will not be making the playoffs this year. Brian Cushing, last years defensive rookie of the year has not played well this year after his 4 game suspension for violating the NFL's performance enhancing drugs policy.
My Pick: The Ravens lost a heartbreaker last week, this week they will take it to the terrible Texans defense and win by at least a touchdown.
