B.C Lions Montreal Alouettes Preview

The First CFL game of the regular season kicks off tomorrow and it shouldn't disappoint. With two teams who are looking very good this season. The Lions who are a team that hasn't been hot for the past two years is now looking like a much stronger team. With a great receiving core starting with Geroy Simon, and Steven Black the Lions have good play making receivers. They also have a good quarterback in Travis Lullay, who didn't look good last year, but has looked good in the preseason this year. They also have a solid defence, which should be a test to Montreal's great offence.
The real question is can the Lions play at a great level in the regular season. We've seen them do great things in the preseason, but for most teams the preseason is just a test for their bench players. This is going to be the first real test for B.C and it will be a hard one. Montreal is playing great football coming off of a grey cup victory last season Montreal will be looking to repeat their success starting with game 1 against the Lions.
The Alouettes have a strong team again this year, and they look like the stronger team in this one. The Lions will have some success this season, but it won't start with game on against Montreal.

This will be a tough task for the B.C lions playing on the road against last year's Grey Cup champions. With less than a touchdown separating this point spread I am betting on the home team to win and cover. The Alouettes are a great offensive team and being the opening game you can be sure to see the Montreal receivers to be landing in the end zone a few times in this game. A bet on the over would also be a good pick. The Lions had a poor defence last year and will have to try to out score Montreal to have a chance in winning.
