Texans Colts Pick
Houston Texans @ Indianapolis Colts (-5.5)
The Houston Texans are 0-9 in Indianapolis in their franchise history, and just 2-15 all time, with one of their wins occurring this past March with the help from Arian Fosters career day of 231 yards rushing and 3 rush TDs. The Colts allow 137.3 yards rushing per game, but if u take away Fosters day in week 1, the Colts allow just 118 yards on the ground per game, which is good for 22nd in the league.
The Texans get LT Duane Brown back after receiving a 4 game suspension, which should help bolster the run game once again. Both teams are missing key players that were present in the week 1 contest. For the Colts, they will be without Austin Collie and Dallas Clark, the former being lost for the season with a rare wrist injury. The Texans also lost a key cog on the defensive side of the ball for the season, with DeMeco Ryans nursing an Achilles tendon injury.
The Colts almost certainly will be without Joseph Addai who suffered a shoulder injury in week 6, and may also be without Donald Brown. The Colts have been raving about Mike Hart though, who may be the best third string running back in the game to carry the load this Sunday.
All these injuries don't matter much when you have the league's best weapon on the field in Peyton Manning. The 4 time MVP is once again tearing up defences by posting 13 TDs to 2 INTs through 6 games this season, and is on pace for 35 TDs and just 6 INTs. These numbers will surely notch up a 5th MVP trophy.
My Pick: Indianapolis Colts
All signs point to the Texans winning their first game in Indy, but you just can't bet against Peyton Manning, especially in a MNF game. He makes everyone on the field better, and his amazing accuracy enables him to place the ball in tight spots. Although the Colts lost Collie and Clark, they will at least get 1 productive receiver back, as Anthony Gonzalez looks to be back in action on Monday Night.
