The Lions start out 4-0, and then Mr. Steve Jobs died. Coincidence? I think not. Thanks for throwing out the balance of the universe Detroit. I wouldn't be surprised if they won the Super Bowl this year to all but ensure the world will end in 2026. The Bears, specifically Matt Forte had a fun day last Sunday when he racked up 205 yards rushing leading the team to victory over the Carolina Cam Newtons.
The Bears are an odd team this year. They started the season by shitting all over Matt Ryan and the Falcons. Then they proceeded to get shit on by the Saints and the Packers before Forte said enough is enough. The Bears are getting good scoring out of their offense (ranked 13th overall in scoring) despite their yardage total being ranked 26th in the league. Jay Cutler looks to have improved his mechanics, but not his decision making. He seems more concerned about his ex-fiancé who dumped him, than about football. I realize she's super-hot and all but come on she was on The Hills (?) I can't imagine she'd be enjoyable company except for in the bed.
The Bears defense is playing like complete shit this year. They are 2nd last in yardage against and 20th in scoring. This could be just the result of them having played some pretty good offenses so far, but still, unacceptable.
The Lions have been a great surprise this year. They're a great team to watch, with amazing young talent on both sides of the ball. Calvin Johnson is a man among men, he's so good that Detroit has pissed me off by not having a real quarterback throwing to him for his early career. He could have been a hall of famer; well I guess he still could be especially after he sets the new touchdown record this year.
