Bears Bills Pick
The Bears went into their bye week following a frustrating loss to Washington, now they come off their bye facing the Bills in Toronto. Before their bye against Washington Bears QB Jay Cutler ended the game throwing 4 interceptions, to the same guy. Against most teams you can't do that and win, Buffalo you can probably beat by doing that.
On the Offensive side of the ball the Bears have pledged to start running the ball more, i'll believe it when I see it. Mike Martz is the type of Offensive Coordinator who will abandon the run at the slightest signs of struggle. The idea of running more getting the ball to the Bears best playmaker Matt Forte is a good idea, it will help the offense hold on to the ball and keep the 3rd downs more manageable so Cutler isn't put in a position to throw long passes.
The Bills offense has not been good this season, or well for years really but they have played their best while Ryan Fitzpatrick has been under center. The Bills have got to do a better job of getting the ball to CJ Spiller who is their most explosive player. Wide Receiver Steve Johnson has come out of nowhere to be a playmaker for the Bills and also a fantasy stud.
Defensively the Bears are very good, the addition of Julius Peppers to the defensive line has improved them a lot in terms of rushing the passer. The Bears have the 3rd best defensive points per game so far this season.
The Bills have the 32nd ranked defensive points per game, and have given up the 5th most yards per game overall so far this season. They did however pick up former all pro linebacker Shawne Merriman off of waivers this week, how effective he is for them remains to be seen.
My take, The Bears are a much better team and on neutral territory they should be able to beat the Bills by at least 3 or more.
