NBA Draft Day Trades
As we all saw there were a lot of things happening on draft day. In the Draft we saw a number of surprising picks in the first and second rounds. We saw a lot of international players being drafted 5 alone just drafted in the top 10. Some people were happy about their picks, and other fans were upset about their teams picks. There was more than just draft picks last night though. There were also a lot of trades the biggest one was a three team trade including the Bobcats, Kings, and Bucks
Bucks
Stephen Jackson SG, Beno Udrih G, Shaun Livingston PG, along with Charlotte's 19th pick Tobias harris F,
Bobcats
Corey Maggette SF, along with Sacramento's 7th pick Bismack Biyombo PF
Sacramento
John Salmons SG, along with Milwaukee's 10th pick Jimmer Ferdette G
I think this trade is good for all teams. Although it looks like the Bucks come out with the best players, I like Corey Maggette with the Bobcats, and Salmons along with Jimmer in Sacramento. The next biggest trade was another three team deal including Denver, Dallas, and Portland.
Denver
Andre Miller PG, and Dallas's 26th pick Jordan Hamilton SF
Dallas
Rudy Fernandez SG, and Petteri Koponen
Portland
Raymond Felton PG, and Dallas's 57th Pick Targuy Ngombo SG,
Great trade for all Teams, I don't see a winner or loser to this trade, I think that all teams will benefit from the players that they received. The last big trade was between the Rockets and the Timberwolves.
Rockets
Johnny Flyn PG, and Minnesota's 20th pick Donatas Motiejunas
Timberwolves
Brad Miller C, Along with The Rockets 23rd pick Nikola Mirotic, and their 38th pick Chandler Parsons. Minnesota also received future 1st round Draft Picks.
As you can see there was a lot of action in the league on Draft day as always. Teams that were trying to benefit with key new players, and teams trying to rebuild by getting rid of old players. There were more than just these trades too. San Antonio giving up George hill for a first round pick, along with other trades from teams such as the Lakers, Heat, Magic, and Celtics. It will be interesting to see what other teams do later on before the season starts. I'm sure there will be new free agent signings and other big trades.
