This upcoming Saturday March 13th Manny Pacquiao will take on Joshua Clottey in what should be a good fight. It however is not the fight boxing fans were hoping for back in March when Manny originally had signed on to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Will Manny get a challenge this time?
Pacquiao comes into this fight having not lost a match in almost 5 years spanning 11 wins over that time with the biggest being a round 2 knockout of Ricky Hatton. In a polar opposite direction Clottey has lost 2 of his last 7 matches including his last fight to Miguel Cotto who was Manny Pacquiao's last victim in the ring.
The Measurements
Manny Pacquiao stands in at 5′ 6″ with a 67″ reach and fought his last fight at 144 pounds.
Joshua Clottey will stand in at 5′ 8″ with a 70″ reach and fought his last fight at a weight of 147 pounds.
Will Clottey Take Down The Seemingly Immortal Pacquiao?
My Take
Manny Pacquiao is an all time great in the sport of boxing and he is in his prime. Anybody other than Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not going to have a great chance of winning against Manny. The line is Pacquiao -600 from oddsmaker and I have to take Manny to win this one with a middle round knockout.
